The 4th Annual Goldwater Women’s Tennis Classic, Presented by Bill Luke Auto Group, will be held November 4-11, 2012, at the Phoenix Country Club, featuring Mary Carillo, Tom Lehman and Anne Myers-Drysdale. The event will bring 60+ highly competitive professional women tennis players here to earn Women’s Tennis Association ranking points and $75,000 in prize money. These rising stars will be competing in their “last chance” U.S. event of the year to earn points to qualify for the Australian Open next January, the first of the 2013 Grand Slams. The tournament is held under the auspices of the U.S. Tennis Association’s Pro Circuit, one of the top player development circuits in the country. The event, the only professional women’s tennis event on the calendar in the Valley, is open to the public. Proceeds benefit the mission of Elevate Phoenix, which is to deliver long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth for civic impact in Arizona. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
